Foundation’s Purpose
The primary purpose of the Foundation is to preserve, make accessible to the public and sell the works of Elsbeth and Theophil Sarasin as well as works created in collaboration with third parties. Secondly, the Foundation may finance young artists.
Foundation's Tasks
The Betha and Teff (Theophil Erasmus) Sarasin Foundation, founded in 2004, was established at the request of the Basel founding couple together with younger members of the Foundation Board who are familiar with the work. The core tasks include the processing and communication of the holdings and related topics. The website, exhibitions, publications and work with young artists are intended to ensure that Betha's and Teff Sarasin's often collaborative and multifaceted work remains well known and appreciated by the public.
